DIY Cork Wreath

I have received so many compliments on my cork wreath that I decided to share this fun project!

The first, and most important, step is to collect about 100 corks.  If you are like me this will not take long, if not you may want to reach out to friends and family to help with the wine consumption :)

Wash, rinse and dry all of the corks.  If you prefer the stale wine smell then you can omit this step but I don't recommend it.

Cover your foam with a tan colored fabric or burlap, gluing it as you go.

Begin gluing the corks to the fabric.  You may want to put them all in the same direction or every other making sure you completely cover the fabric.

Add ribbon and a bow...and Tada!

Please share your corking adventures!! I'd love to see how yours turned out!

You will need:
About 100 Corks
Hot Glue Gun and glue sticks
Round floral foam
Tan Fabric
Ribbon

Easter Crafts

Here are some of the Easter crafts and recipes I found in my first round of  "spring cleaning". First, I finally put my CRIcut machine to work with Happy Easter banner flags. I strung them with white ribbon, then tied them together.

Next, I made chalk eggs from the March issue of parenting magazine. I bought wooden eggs from Michaels and painted them with chalkboard paint.

It was a little tricky but they were a hit. I wrote on them with chalk but I think chalk markers would look better.

My spring cleaning

I recently realized I have quite a collection of magazines in various baskets and bookcases throughout the house. I decided to start going through them again and I found some fantastic articles. My goal this spring is to try as many new recipes, crafts, and decorating ideas that have been hiding on my bookshelf. I am excited to share them so stay tuned!
